I am convinced that it is the lack of understanding these realities that gives rise to the hopelessness and despair that is so prevalent within our society today. Hosea scolded the Jewish leaders because God’s people were being destroyed due to a lack of knowledge, and this failure to know more than just “what’s happenin'” had devastating consequences.
